Dear Flora is a Vancouver based floral preservation studio that provides custom floral and bridal bouquet preservation service.

Rooted to share your story, my goal is to create personalized pieces by transforming preserved florals into heartfelt narratives. Each handcrafted keepsake is a flora love note to the individuals, couples and families who come to me to help them celebrate their love, commitment and memory.

Where possible I can fit in last minute requests however popular spring, summer and fall weekends are generally booked 4-6 months in advance.

drop off in two days
Once you are booked, instructions on how best to keep your flowers fresh and ways to ensure your floral items are protected prior to drop off and while in transit will be provided to you
Where possible, fresh bouquet should be dropped off within two days of your event. Pick up from your event is also available and can be included as part of your quote.

deconstruct & process

Depending on the pre-confirmed preservation style, select amount of the best florals and foliage are chosen. Most will be deconstructed and placed in a wood press between paper to be pressed. The paper are changed over several days for up to four weeks until they are paper thin and dry to the touch.

Where possible, any flowers and foliage not used will be air dried and return to you when you pick up.

design & pick up
Once your flowers are ready, I will design an initial mock up that work best with the flowers using a pre-confirmed style. Working with you, I will finalize the design together. This is the step where additional mementos can be added as part of the design. ​The final and confirmed design will then be set in place.
When the piece is ready to be picked up, I will reach out to arrange a date and time that works for you. Balance of the commission is paid prior to pick up or delivery.

I had the most wonderful experience with Barbara! From start to finish, she showed incredible care, creativity, and attention to detail. I brought my friend's bouquet from her wedding day with flowers from her aunt's garden, and Barbara transformed it into a stunning pressed floral artwork that my friend will cherish forever!
Every flower, greenery, petal was arranged beautifully, and the colours were preserved better than the bride, and I imagined it possible! Barbara also kept me updated throughout the process, making sure the final design matched the bride's vision.
